Say How Much Of A Fan You Are With Boston Accents

Boston Accents banner adWhen I recently visited my friends Tim and Mary, I saw Tim sporting a t-shirt reading, “Wicked big Celts fan.” Being from the Bay State myself and knowing Tim is from there too, I asked him where he got it.  It turns out he knows who makes them.  Being the consummate networker he is, Tim put me in touch with them.

Boston Accents has a number of t-shirts and caps that, as you can guess, have sayings with a Boston accent.  They sent me some samples at no cost, including a cap reading, “wicked big Pats fan” and t-shirts reading the same as the cap and “Best quartahback evah™ - 12,” which is trademarked, who knew?  All the t-shirts have a unique color dying that gives them an earthen look, and fit very well.  They did not ask me to promote them here on Out In The Loop, but I offered as they are fellow entrepreneurs, not to mention Boston sports fans.

By wearing Boston Accents, you can not only show your colors, but say them with the proper accent, which is wicked pissa!

Cufflinks the Perfect Gift for Your Patriots Fan

photo of Patriots cufflinks from Cufflinks.comNo matter the season or the reason, nothing says you care for a Patriots fan than something with the Pats logo on it.  Whether it is Pat Patriot or the Flying Elvis, they will be proud to wear it.

We heard from the folks at Cufflinks.com a while back about their variety of cufflinks with Patriots logos.  The accompanying photo to this post is my favorite of them.  Check out the variety of Pats cufflinks, as well as other designs.  If you must wear a tux, why not add a flare to it?

New Link for NFL Draft 101

We recently heard from Chris at NFL Draft 101 about their site, which has a wealth of information on players, rankings, etc.  I’ll check this out as I don’t follow college football too closely, and it’s usually around draft time that I am hearing of the many players new to the NFL.

New Link For New England Patriots News

We recently heard from the folks at NewEnglandPatriotsNews.com about their community, featuring blogs and a forum.  I have subscribed to their feed and have been reading their blog posts.  As I am not usually active in forums, I have not been involved in theirs either.  Their blogs are pretty active and interesting, and I recommend giving them a read.  By joining you can post a fan profile and comment on blog posts.  They are part of larger network of sports teams, so there is even more to explore.

I’ll keep reading them, so maybe more later.

Web-based Tailgate Planner

Where was this years ago for me?

Tailgate Haven offers a Web-based tailgate planner.  I did not setup one, but I went thru the Web site and saw their demo.  You can plan all of the elements for your tailgate, from the people to the food.  And it’s free!

Again, where was this years ago for me?  Check it out and let us know how it works for you.

Major Sports Teams Widgets from NBC

From the people who are bringing you the Olympics comes blog widgets for all major sports.

Rotoworld is the fantasy sports news arm of NBC Sports and offers what looks like the standard fare for fantasy sports information.  I say what looks like as I am not into fantasy sports, but I digress.

One service they offer are free Flash widgets for your blog, Web site, Facebook, et. al.  The one accompanying this post is for the Pats, and they offer them for all NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL teams.

Should I make it a regular part of Out In The Loop?

Cool Blog Widget for NFL Season

Are you ready for some football?  With NFL training camps already under way and the season a mere weeks from kickoff, its time to start your planning and following of the schedule.

The people at Schmap have created a cool widget for your blog or Web site to visualize your team’s schedule with maps.  The widget is in this blog post, and if you cannot see it for some reason, check out Out In The Loop and I have added it to the sidebar.  Where I would agree that everyone should have a Patriots schedule, you can choose your team as well as other settings to customize.
